Front Page Articles
The articles on the Front Page of this website are written for informational purposes. While most of these articles chronicle the discussions and actions at the township trustee meetings or zoning meetings, they are not the minutes of those meetings. The articles are intended to summarize what was said or done. The actual minutes of the meetings can be found on the "Trustees" page or the "Zoning" page. Keep in mind that these official minutes are posted only after they are approved by their respective boards and submitted to the webmaster for publication.

Mogadore Survives Late G-Men Run, Field Wins Fourth In A Row, Downing Ravenna 62-59
On Friday evening the Garrettsville G-Men came into Mogadore a decided underdog. The Wildcats allowed the G-Men to hang around, a cardinal sin in basketball. With about a minute to go in the game the G-Men, who had gotten hot from the field, closed to the score to 71-69, but four free throws by junior Kyle Coffman and one by Lukas Swartz iced the game. Coffman had 21 points, Swartz 19 and Conner Kerr 17. The Wildcats closed the regular season 17-5 and 14-0 in the PTC-County Division. They play their first tournament game next Friday (March 2nd) at home at 7:00 PM. Also on Friday evening, the Field Falcon boys closed out the regular season in fine fashion by beating the home-standing Ravenna Ravens 62-59 in overtime. It was Field 's fourth win in a row and brings their record to a more respectable 10-12 overall and 6-8 in the PTC-Metro Division. They open the post-season at Norton on Tuesday February 27th at 7:00 PM. The Field Falcon girls ended their season with a 40-30 loss to the Northwest Indians in Canal Fulton. They posted a 3-9 Portage Trail Conference-Metro Division record and were 4-18 overall. The Lady Falcons were seeded 11th in the Uniontown District and Northwest was seeded 6th.

Wingfoot Lake State Park is Suffield's only park. It was opened by the Ohio State Parks & Recreation Department in 2009. Goodyear had operated the park since the 1960's as a private playground for its employees and for corporate retreats. As the company footprint grew smaller in the Akron area Goodyear decided to close the park in 2006. To learn more about the park, such as rental of the facilities, visit the park's website: http://parks.ohiodnr.gov/wingfootlake
The historic Suffield Town Hall can be rented by residents and non-residents for various events.
