Road Closure Notice – Griggy Road (May 5, 2026)

Griggy Road in Suffield Township will be temporarily closed for a culvert replacement project.

The closure will take place near:
267 Griggy Road

Griggy Road will be closed between Pontius Road and Swartz Road.

What to Expect

The road will be fully closed to all traffic
No vehicles or school buses will be permitted through the work zone
Local access may be limited during this time

Plan Ahead

Residents and drivers should plan alternate routes and allow extra travel time during the closure.

Project Information

This closure is necessary to complete a culvert replacement, which will help improve drainage and maintain the safety of the roadway.

NOPEC Letters Will Be Hitting Your Mailbox Soon

If you would like to learn more about opting in or out of NOPEC, an informational meeting will be held at the Kent Free Library, Second Floor at 6:00PM on April 28.

Suffield Township residents may soon begin receiving letters regarding the Northeast Ohio Public Energy Council (NOPEC) program. These letters provide information about participation options and energy aggregation services available through NOPEC.

To help residents better understand the program and make informed decisions, an upcoming public information meeting will be available for those interested in learning more about how NOPEC works, including details on how to opt in or opt out.

Community Meeting – October 30, 7PM

There will be a community meeting for anyone who would like additional firsthand information about the critical need for the fire levy. The meeting will be held in the Township Community Room on Thursday, October 30, at 7:00 p.m. Fiscal Officer Lori Calcei and Chief Rasnick will be present to answer any questions.

General Election – Nov. 4, 2025
